The Event The 2008 Apple Blossom Duck Race, in its 13th consecutive year, will again be a signature event held during the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival weekend of activities. The Duck Race is convened by the Rotary Club of Wolfville. A wholesome, fun-filled family event, the Duck Race features two exciting races, food and beverages, face painting and other entertainment for children. In 2007, there were over 7400 entrants in the family race and 179 entrants in the corporate event.

2007 Apple Blossom Corporate Duck Race Results
Hundreds if decoys decorated by participating local businesses are dropped into the Gaspereau Canal at 1 PM and 'race' downstream to the finish line. The entry fee pays for the mallard decoy, which the participating companies can creatively decorate with their corporate logo and promotional paraphernalia. Prizes for the fastest ducks, plus consolation prizes in a variety of categories are awarded.
Thousands of 'little rubber duckies' are dropped into the Gaspereau Canal at 2 PM and 'race' downstream to the finish line. Prizes for the fastest ducks are awarded.
Founded in 1935, the Rotary Club of Wolfville is a service organization that funds many groups and charities in and around Wolfville, Nova Scotia and internationally, especially education of our youth. There are no administration costs in the club structure, so 100% of the funds raised by the Rotary Club are used for charitable work.
